Tina M. Huebner, Muskingum County Auditor, announces the Muskingum County Budget Commission will meet at 10:00 am on Monday, January 12, 2026. Additional meetings will be held throughout the 2026 calendar year on the dates and times listed in the official meeting schedule adopted by the Budget Commission.

The purpose of these meetings is to approve requests from political subdivisions to increase and/or decrease their Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources in accordance with ORC 5705.36(A)(3) and ORC 5705.36 (A)(4).

Unless otherwise noted, meetings will be held in the Auditor’s Real Estate Office Conference Room, located at 401 Main Street, Zanesville, Ohio. Meetings scheduled for February 9, 2026, and August 24, 2026, will be held in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, located at 27 North 5th Street, Suite 201, Zanesville, Ohio.

The February 9, 2026, meeting will address the approval of tax estimates and alternative budget requests for all Muskingum County school districts for the fiscal year July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The August 24, 2026, meeting will approve the 2027 budgets for all county-related entities, the 2027 tax estimates for all political subdivisions (except schools), and the 2027 local government allocations.
